Patient Testimonials

Danielle Rivera

Wonderful Dr! Helped our family and saved my grandma’s life from her foot wound, She ended up with gangrene. (She was 94 at the time) her age didn’t matter to him which was comforting and refreshing, She loved seeing him. Dr Menutti made sure she had the very best care while she was hospitalized. We’re forever grateful for this Dr.! Our family still continues to go for any needed treatments and in home treatments.

Podiatrist Jefferson Mennuti has a great bedside manner. I had to have a toenail completely removed and he made sure I was comfortable , explained the procedure and made sure I understood aftercare instructions perfectly. Also, he understands the importance of prevention and getting to the root cause to prevent the issue from happening again. Some solutions are hollistic which are great because I am not one that loves prescriptions when prevented. If you are looking for a podiatrist that truly cares and you are not just a numbered patient on his schedule see Jefferson Mennuti!

Dr. Mennuti was very informative and took time to look at my injury. I asked him questions and he followed through with great information to help me with my injury. Very personable and really wanting to help me. A doctor who really cares!

Dr. Mennuti is one of the most patient and understanding doctors I've met in awhile. He does not cast judgement, listens, and takes plenty of time to make sure he and you understand the problem and the solutions. Definitely recommend

Dr Mennuti is one of the best doctor's I have ever been to. Besides the feet, He knows a lot about medicine in general, along with being a very caring doctor and he's not one to throw you into surgery right away. Believe me when I say, look no further you won't be unhappy.

Catherine Phillips

Dr. Mennuti treated my husband, John, for over a year to heal a deep foot wound. This required two hospitalizations and three grafts. We could not be more pleased with the concern he had for John personally, his open communication, and his professionalism! We continue to recommend Dr. Mennuti to anyone with a foot or ankle problem. His office Manager, Kiaria, also deserves praise for her superb handling of the complete administration of his office and fostering a welcome, friendly attitude to everyone. Amazing staff and Dr!!!!

Jim Schmitt

When I first met Dr. Mennuti at Fish Memorial Hospital's wound care center, I had a large 3" round wound that would not heal, as the area on my leg had been treated with radiation for malignant melanoma, and had been opened up as a result of a minor accident. As he explained, radiation is a "scorched earth" kind of treatment that kills tissue. In spite of the challenge, he was quite sure that he could get it to heal. Over the next 22 months, he used a number of cutting edge biologic regeneration treatments that actually left the wound area looking better than it did after the original melanoma surgery. Over the 22 months I found Dr. Mennuti and his staff to be extremely professional, caring, and very accommodating. I typically travel during the week for work and they were able to see me on Saturdays, which is almost unheard of these days! I really appreciated the wonderful care, his great sense of humor, and the encouragement that I received from Dr. Mennuti and will certainly be seeking his care in the future if needed.

Nerve testing

Testing For Neuropathy

The Epidermal Nerve Fiber Density (ENFD) test is an objective method of analyzing small fiber peripheral neuropathy by quantifying the terminal branches of peripheral nerves within the epidermis. In other words, we can see how many nerve endings are underneath your skin.

This test has a  97% of accuracy rate. The test is recommended to perform when patients experience the following symptoms: pain and abnormal sensation (burning, prickling, shooting), as well as numbness, tightness, coldness in foot/ankle areas.

The common causes of small fiber peripheral neuropathy are: diabetes, types I & II; HIV; vibratory trauma; amyloidosis / monoclonal gammopathy; alcohol abuse; pharmacologic toxins (metronidazole); solvent exposure, and idiopathic neuropathy, when the cause can’t be determined, once thought to represent as much as half of all cases.

The ENFD test can also be used to predict the small nerve fiber peripheral neuropathy. A small 3×3 mm skin biopsy is used for providing diagnostic information on small nerve fibers. The ENFD biopsy is superficial with a very low risk for infection.
