MEET DR. MENNUTI

Jefferson Mennuti, DPM

I have had the distinct privilege of practicing in Volusia and Seminole county since March 2010. During that time, I have learned from my patients more than I ever could at school, college or the University. The textbooks were just the bricks and mortar.  The people and the community are  what created the elaborate highway of my practice.

Despite my extensive practice in limb salvage, I treat all lower extremity problems. I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care, and I have had  robust education and extensive training not only in wound care and limb salvage, but all lower extremity problems. I have been trained not only top podiatrist, but general surgeons, vascular surgeons, orthopedic traumatologist, plastic surgeons, radiologists, pathologist and psychologist to name a few. If you have an issue with the lower extremity, come see me.

What you don’t know about me

  • When I am not in the office or hospital you are likely to find me on the tennis court, or riding my bicycle on the trails. I come from Florida - Tampa specifically. I have participated in two medical missions to Honduras. Both missions were aimed at surgically correcting club foot. Needy children from this part of the world are relied upon to fetch water, and do chores necessary for survival. This herculean task is only made more difficulty with a congenital deformity restricting the child’s ability to walk. One of the kids asked if he could play soccer after.

What to expect when you come in

  • I like to be more personable with my patients. Yes, you will get some stale jokes, but it helps me understand you and your issues better. Also, remember, I spend basically my whole day interacting with patients. It makes the day more enjoyable being more personable.

What do I expect from you, the patient

  • Questions. Lots and lots of questions. Just because I am explaining something to you, does not mean you are getting the underlying meaning. Questions will help tune our understanding so we can accomplish your goals better.

  • Dr. Mennuti received his podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Mennuti went on with a 2 year residency training in a Harvard Medical School / Boston University School of Medicine affiliated program. He then completed an addition year of training at Norton Hospital, where most of his time was spent on orthopedic trauma.
